Preparation before use

Cleaning the surface: Use anhydrous alcohol and lint-free cloth to thoroughly clean the contact surface between the chip and the heat sink, ensuring that there is no dust and oil stains

Correct application method

Take out an appropriate amount of Thermal conductive silicone, usually a bean-sized amount is enough to cover an ordinary CPU

Use a scraper to evenly apply the silicone on the surface of the chip

The application thickness should be controlled at about 0.5mm. Too thick will affect the thermal conductivity

For larger chips, an "X" or "cross" shaped application method can be used


Install the radiator

Align the radiator to the chip position and slowly lower it

Gently press the radiator to evenly distribute the silicone

Tighten the radiator screws in a diagonal order to ensure uniform pressure


Precautions

Do not use excessively, as excess silicone may overflow and contaminate the circuit board

Avoid silicone from contacting the skin. If it accidentally contacts the skin, wash it immediately with soapy water

It is recommended to observe for 12 hours after the first use to confirm that the heat dissipation effect is stable

Generally, it needs to be replaced every 2-3 years, depending on the use environment
