Silicone Gel is a topical gel that can be applied to any part of the skin. The gel is safe, tolerable, and suitable for all skin types and populations. It improves the appearance of new and old scars, making them softer, flatter, and smoother, and reduces discoloration, pain, and itching caused by scars. It is certified by the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA). The main ingredients are Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Fumed Silica, and Dimethicone Crosspolymer.

Mechanism of Action of Silicone Gel

The silicone gel formula includes liquid long-chain polymers and volatile solid silicone. The high molecular weight long-chain polymers form a semi-occlusive waterproof film that adheres closely to the epidermis. The volatile silicone gives the gel its quick-drying properties (drying immediately after application), and it does not cause skin damage or pain during use. This silicone gel film functions like a custom-made silicone sheet for the treated skin area, offering all the advantages of silicone sheets while avoiding their bulkiness, skin maceration, and inconvenience.

Usage and Dosage of Silicone Gel

• Ensure the scar area is clean

• Apply a thin layer of the gel on the scar and allow it to dry

• Use twice daily

• For best results, ensure silicone gel is in contact with the skin 24 hours a day

• If the gel has not dried within 4-5 minutes, you have used too much. Remove the excess and let it dry

• The recommended minimum treatment period is 60-90 days. Treating large or old scars may take longer. If improvement continues after 90 days, it is recommended to continue using the product
